The new staff members are as follows: Ms. Plummer (History), Ms. Falcetti (Math), Mr. Hollwedel (Dean of Academics/Theology), Mrs. Tremblay (Director of Institutional Advancement), Ms. Waterman (Director for Admissions/ Marketing/ Communications). Mrs. Garfield is still here teaching two classes in the History Department, but has accepted a new role as the Director of Guidance as well.

All fall athletes must have a current physical on file in order to participate in any practices or games. If you are not sure if your physical is up to date, please contact your physician to check the latest date of your most recent physical. If the school does not have a copy of your physical, you will be asked to provide one prior to the first practice. The practice times for the first day of practice will be posted on the school website and Facebook page by August 20. For information regarding pre-season practices/meetings, please contact the coaches listed above. They will point you in the direction of the team captain.

Calendar

Sunday, August 29 is Orientation for freshmen and new students. We invite freshmen and new students to meet with their parents in the gym at 4:00 for some helpful information about the school year. Father Duy Le, our chaplain, will celebrate Mass at 5:00 in Saint Mary’s Church. After Mass, we will all have dinner together. Staff and student ambassadors will be available during dinner to answer questions and to give tours of the building.

Monday, August 30 is the first day of school for all high school students. The schedule for that day will differ from our normal university schedule. All 8 classes will meet for a shortened period. After lunch, all students will break into groups for a discussion about the summer reading books. There will also be an opportunity to hear about some of the clubs and extracurricular activities that we are offering this year.

On Tuesday, August 31, Bishop Byrne will be joining us for an all-school retreat. Lunch will be provided. The first regular day of classes will be Wednesday, September 1. Freshmen and new students’ schedules will be emailed home soon. Returning students can access their schedules on FACTS. Requests for schedule changes need to be made before the first day of school. This is a policy change from previous years. There is no guarantee that all requests will be filled due to class availability. If you have questions about your schedule or would like to request a change, please contact Mr. Hollwedel only at lhollwedel@stmsaints.org.

Uniforms

Many of our families have questions about the school uniform. All uniform items can be purchased at Blake Uniform Shop in Springfield. They have these items in stock in the store, or you can visit their website blakesschooluniform.com. School uniforms can also be ordered through Tommy Hilfiger on their website: globalschoolwear.com.
