The Art Program

Led by our artist-in-residence, Ms. Ellen Sullivan Farley, the Art Program at Saint Mary’s High School gives the students space to learn the mechanics of fine art in various media. After a time of apprenticeship, students are encouraged to develop their own design aesthetic and complete personal projects.

After an exploratory course, students can take painting, drawing, or clay forms.

The arts provide a wealth of benefits for learners of all ages by creating an avenue for creative expression, as well as bolstering students’ brain development, fine motor and decision-making skills, cultural awareness, and sense of self.

In today’s online world, visual learning is more important than ever, so we ensure that our students’ education reflects what they need to succeed.
