Technology Standards

Technology is part of modern learning and adapting to use high technology is important. St Mary’s believes that technology resources should be introduced carefully and intentionally. When used correctly, technology can greatly enhance the learning environment.

Elementary Laptop Program

For students in grades 3 through 8, St Mary’s will issue a school laptop for their educational use. Our Chromebook program policies are important for families to understand.

Cell Phones and Electronic Devices

Middle school students must turn in their cell phones to their homeroom or classroom teacher at the start of the day.
Cell phones will be returned at dismissal.
It is the responsibility of the student to retrieve their phone before leaving school.
Smart watches that work as phones are not allowed in school at any time.
No phones or electronic devices permitted for K-5 students.
All communication will be made through the main office of the school.
